We are on the eve of a new, stricter phase in emissions and noise regulations, placing motorcyclists more than ever under scrutiny. At Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde, providing the ultimate riding experience is central to our mission, while ensuring that you can always legally hit the road. That's why at Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde, we have been working hard in recent years to prepare for this new situation, with the terms Euro5+ and particularly R41.05 being crucial.

With over 25 years of experience, we have learned how to create a beautiful sound that not only enhances the riding experience but also meets all requirements and legislation. To ensure that our systems comply with the R41.05 regulations, we have invested in our own state-of-the-art, certified test lab with the most up-to-date and advanced testing equipment and methods.

Innovation of the exhaust system

We have also focused on further innovating the components of our electronically adjustable exhaust system. The two most notable developments are...

New smartbox. This intelligent module contains software specifically tailored to the R41.05 regulations and ensures that you always have the ultimate sound experience and riding experience while staying within the limits of the law. Moreover, our new smartbox is fully future-proof and ready for all different forms of connectivity in exhaust technology.

Fast valve response. The valve in the exhaust continuously adjusts to maintain the optimal sound level in decibels. We have developed new servo motors that can anticipate this within a millisecond. This provides a consistent sound experience while riding.

We've managed to successfully test emission in a live situation! A giant leap in the world of driving emission, which is extremely helpful in meeting the highest air quality standards possible, one of The Jekill and Hyde Company’s most important core values. The market has always called for it to be impossible to carry out such a test, due to the large size and complexity of the necessary measuring devices.
