Our valve in the exhaust constantly adapts to your riding behavior, allowing us to maintain the maximum sound level in decibels. Simply put: the valve in the exhaust continuously adjusts to the moment. This provides an immersive sound experience while riding, always within legal limits.

Central to this are our updated Smartbox with custom-made software for each motorcycle model, ensuring that you always stay within legal limits. The Smartbox controls the exhaust valve, which rapidly adjusts with our Fast Valve Response. We have developed new servo motors that can anticipate this within a millisecond. This provides a completely legal sound experience while riding.

Note: when you tune your motorcycle, the difference between the opened or closed valve gets bigger. Tuning can influence the legality of the exhaust system.

Form follows function. Our motto when creating The Nomad S. But this doesn't mean we've taken it easy. On the contrary - the result is something to be proud of. We chose a design that blends in perfectly with the design of the bike as a whole. 

The Nomad Exhaust is available in different configurations. You can choose between a black and pearl grey body, with gloss carbon end caps with an aluminium core. Complete the look with suspension brackets that come in black.

The indentation in the body of the exhaust matches that from the fuel tank and makes the exhaust an almost integral part of the bike. The high end carbon gives it a more sportier look and feel. The insert in the end cap gives a premium touch to the exhaust and is very recognizable from the back, even if the suitcases are mounted on the bike. A truly unique feature.

Therefore our exhaust systems embody three distinct personalities: the Dr. Jekill mode, the dynamic mode and the Mr. Hyde mode. By a simple push of a button a valve inside the muffler closes, opens or opens halfway, giving your exhaust more power and performance. You can choose per situation whether you want to ride in the Dr. Jekill mode, dynamic mode or Mr. Hyde mode. It’s up to you.

European type approval street legal

Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde | The Exhaust is a completely legal exhaust system that complies with European laws and is ECE, EG-BE and TÜV approved. The reason for this is that every Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde system contains a smartbox: this electronic control unit is the brain of the product and contains software that reads CANBUS signals coming from the motorcycle’s ECU.

“Dust, mud, extreme weather ... I ride a BMW GS as it is meant to be! A motorcycle that breathes adventure must occasionally go off the paved road and offroad! “I used to drive with an exhaust that had only one mode, which means that there was only one sound. This was not really contributing to the driving experience. Driving with a closed valve on the paved road and opening the valve off-road really adds an extra dimension to the driving experience; it feels like I have 3 different exhausts! “I love to ride along the shores of Gérardmer Lake (Vosges, France). A beautiful place full of walkers, cyclists and sports enthusiasts. When I drive here I always use the Dr. Jekill mode, which gives me the possibility to ride in stealth mode and not disturb anyone. But when I make my way back on the meandering roads of Col de Bonnefontaine I switch to the Mr. Hyde mode to enjoy the delicious rumble that echoes through the mountains around me and at the same time warn oncoming traffic that I am approaching. Great right?”
