And what better brand to begin with than RAM?
We’re deep in the development process for model years 2019–2024, refining performance, sound quality, and system integration, but we’re not ready to announce a completion date just yet. What we can say: it’s going to be worth the wait. So stay tuned, this exhaust system is shaping up to be a standout upgrade for RAM 1500 owners who want full control over their V8’s voice.

Power deserves a voice. And for the RAM V8, that voice needed more than a simple upgrade — it needed a complete reinvention. So we designed a full exhaust system from scratch, restoring the deep, iconic tone of the V8 while giving drivers the freedom to shape their sound at any moment.

A silencer built for the V8
Redesigned with our signature valve technology, the silencer lets you control your sound at any moment. Tuned with our sound engineers to amplify the RAM’s deep V8 tones while eliminating unwanted highs — powerful outside, addictive behind the wheel.

Precision-engineered with a constant 76mm diameter for optimal airflow and tone, 3D-designed for a perfect, safe fit.
Premium tailpipes
Three-piece stainless-steel construction with solid machined BigShot end caps. The 5” units feature a black heat-resistant finish and the Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde logo.
Smart electronics: three modes, one button
Automotive-grade electronics with a SmartBox connected to the ECU, servo-controlled valves, and an in-cabin mode switch. Choose from three modes — SmartBox adjusts the valves with 5° precision for full legal compliance, TÜV / ABE approved.
Legal compliance by design
Engineered to meet all legal requirements. The SmartBox automatically manages the valves while driving, ensuring the perfect balance between experience and compliance. Official documentation will be included for worry-free ownership.

Each component is purpose-built to elevate the V8’s character, enhance performance, and deliver adjustable sound in a way only Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde can — combining craftsmanship, technology, and legality into one complete system.
Every success starts out small. Even though Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde is now an established brand within the motorcycle world, it was only a little more than 25 years ago that Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde was merely an idea.
Back in 1997 when the first Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde systems were created the word ‘custom-made’ was the most appropriate term to describe the products. It did not matter which bike you rode, if it was a big cruiser or a racing rocket, an exhaust would be built especially for your bike. Because of the success of these exhaust systems and a good nose for business Jacques van de Kerkhof decided he wanted to invest in The Jekill and Hyde Company, under the condition that it would be professionalized.
The next step for The Jekill and Hyde Company was to build an exhaust that would be 100% legal and in compliance with European law. The engineers kept working hard on this, but never got to this point, until Jacques met Mario Müller. Mario already had a lot of experience as an engineer in the motorcycle industry. This cooperation finally resulted in the creation of an exhaust system that was 100% legal and in 2010 the European Type Approval was finally obtained. With still only 4 employees working for the company it was time to conquer the European market. The system proved to be successful, especially in countries where the law was strictly enforced regarding illegal exhaust systems, a Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde system was the ideal solution for all those who wanted to experience the ultimate riding feeling, without being afraid to end up on the wrong side of the law.
After Europe the step was taken to also provide the rest of the world with Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde | The Exhaust. After offices were set up in Germany, Switzerland and France, the company branched out in Canada, Singapore, Japan and more. Besides exploring new markets, the palette of brands The Jekill and Hyde Company develops exhaust systems for, keeps growing. Where there was first a focus on large big twin bikes like Harley-Davidson, Indian and Victory, it also became clear that more brands could use an upgrade with the Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde sound. First the R-series of BMW got added to the roster and subsequently it became possible to equip your KTM with a Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde | The Exhaust.
The Jekill and Hyde Company continues to grow and expand. For example, in 2021 a completely new motorcycle was added to the range with the BMW R18 and with Triumph Motorcycles a completely new brand has become part of the family. The Jekill and Hyde Company started with a few models, but are already expanding the range. In this way, the company is always looking for new models and new markets.
A lot has happened in the short time from an idea to a well-known brand and a lot has changed, yet the main principle has always stayed the same. The Jekill and Hyde Company still produces exhaust systems with three distinct personalities and keeps giving the motorcycle rider the ultimate riding experience.
