TO BRING BACK SPORT IN SPORTSTER
The Harley-Davidson Sportster S is a game-changer that brings back the Sport in Sportster. With the liquid cooled Revolution Max 1250 engine, the Sportster S is a compact and perfect handling speed racer that leaves the competition far behind. With the Apex, Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde developed an exhaust that does justice to this incredible new bike. To amplify the racing element of the Sportster S, Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde created a 2in1 exhaust system that not only fits the bike like a glove, but maximizes the sound coming from the Revolution Max engine to unbeknown heights.
THE SOUND OF THE APEX
The Revolution Max engine is something different than the Milwaukee-Eight and it was important for us to create a sound that would fit the bike and generate the desired 'wow-effect' when the rider pushes the button. With the Apex we have more than succeeded in this endeavor. Still silent in the Dr. Jekill mode, but a raw racing sound when the Mr. Hyde mode is activated, yet still unmistakably the sound that suits a Harley-Davidson. CONFIGURATION
The Apex is a complete system -with a body, end cap and a header- which can be ordered in various configurations. The exhaust comes in black and brushed and the rider can choose between two end caps which come in black, blank and bronze (which matches the accents of the bike). With these options we make sure that you an exhaust that fits your style and your bike. To check out all configurations, have a look in the configurator.
The exhaust is equipped with a carbon heat shield to protect the rider from the heat of the exhaust, which is placed quite high and next to the saddle. It is crafted the so well, that even when the exhaust itself gets extremely hot, this won't be noticeable to the rider. You can still put your hand on the heat shield without any harm.
