Euro5+ and R41.05 regulations - what does this mean?
Euro5+ is now the standard regulation for emission control, requiring vehicles to meet strict criteria for harmful emissions. Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde already more than meets all of these criteria.
Additionally, we are now facing R41.05, specific regulations focused on motorcycle noise regulation. These regulations, issued by the European Economic Commission, are intended to reduce motorcycle noise pollution. The change in this regulation with the most impact is the requirement that a motorcycle must stay below a certain number of decibels at speeds between 10 and 100 km per hour (maximum varies per motorcycle). The stationary measurement remains unchanged up to 10 km per hour. This regulation applies to new motorcycles sold in the European Union as well as existing motorcycles that are newly registered in the EU.
